Has anyone signed up for the free 10-day myFico score trial? Question about credit report.
Hi everyone,
So, I signed up for the myFico 10-day trial for a credit report and score. Just before completing the form it said it would include two reports and two scores, presumably, TU and EQ. I got the EQ report and score but not the TU. I will add that I already got my TU, EQ, EX from annualcreditreport.com and I did get the trial period for my TU score.
Will the TU scores from annualcreditreport.com and myFico be the same or are they different?
Thanks for your help!

You'll actually get two free "score power reports" ... they are both equifax, first one when you sign up, and second one sometime later...and after that they are 30% off ... to get TU you have to pay $19.95 separately...the annualcreditreport.com TU is the TU score from TU's website which is a FAKO and unreliable... sorry to break the bad news!

Re: Has anyone signed up for the free 10-day myFico score trial? Question about credit report.
Okay... do you know if I will get the second Equifax score within the 10-day trial period? And how reliable is the score from Experian website where they offer the score for $1.00?
My score from Equifax is 647 but the Experian website says its almost 100 points less and now that you tell me TU website is a FAKO, that one is 702. Should I just purchase the scores for EX and TU through annualcreditreport.com?

I believe you can get the second Equifax score within 10 days... on the front page it will say your score then "Get Today's Score", as far as scores from the experian website, no... the only way to get the true FICO for Experian is either from a lender who pulls Experian, or from PSECU which is really hard to get in if you're not a PA resident.
Purchasing scores through EX and TU directly are useless, you can get the FICO for TU through this website. the FAKOs are not used by lenders, mostly only FICO or other internal scoring models are used....

Re: Has anyone signed up for the free 10-day myFico score trial? Question about credit report.
I highly recommend getting 3 services; 2 from here and the other from USAA: SW (EQ) Quarterly Monitoring (TU) and USAA CMS for the ability to pull all 3 reports daily (and especially after receiving an SW alert, so you can see what changed/prompted the score increase or decrease).
5/2012: 560 credit scores across the board
12/2014: 750+
3/2017: 780+
11/2019: 833
2/2023: Experian via Chase United Explorer CC pull - 891

Re: Has anyone signed up for the free 10-day myFico score trial? Question about credit report.
I noticed that myExperian score (directly from them) was about 50 points lower than getting that score elsewhere along with my scores here. My 10 free trial from here ends today. I'm going to continue with it.
So to be clear, the scores the EQ and TU scores that we receive from here (myfico) are true scores while others are FAKO?

Yes, that is my question as well. Is the Equifax score I got from this (myFico) website for the 10-day trial perdiod is a true score? And the true score for TU would be from this (myFico) website too?

Yes the Equifax score here is the EQ FICO used by most lenders. The Transunion score, although an older version (TU98) is still used by many lenders although more and more lenders are going to the newer TU04 and a few to the newest TU08.

Do you have to be a USAA member to buy their credit monitoring services? They seem to give you the best bang for your buck.
